Golden Corner Scroll
The Golden Corner Scroll was born from both heritage and memory. As a child, I was surrounded by my father’s fascination with ancient architecture—he would point out the elegance of scrollwork, the symmetry of Greek ornament, and the timeless balance of classical design. Those impressions stayed with me, planting a quiet appreciation for form and ornament that would later resurface in my own art.
When I visited the Parthenon in Greece, that early exposure suddenly felt alive and monumental. Standing among its columns and carvings, I was struck not only by the mastery of stone but also by the sense of permanence—how a single carved scroll or corner detail could carry centuries of meaning and beauty.
The Golden Corner Scroll reflects both of these influences: the childhood lessons shared with my father and the awe I felt at the Parthenon. It is a tribute to the continuity of design, where a simple ornamental curve can link generations and cultures. By carving it in slate and giving it a golden hue, I wanted to honor that lineage while making it my own—an intersection of memory, tradition, and personal expression.
